Will we be drinking toilet water too ? Is there enough potable water for the amount of development the new SOLV plan allows? Clearwater has plans for residents to drink filtered sewer water (yes TOILET TO TAP). Another overdeveloped area Miami - Dade is considering the same. Will we be next ? YUCK !

County and State Legislators

County Commissioner - John Morroni

Write the Florida State
Department of Community Affairs
(DCA)

Mike McDaniel
Administrator of State Planning,
State of Florida]]]]
Department of Community Affairs;
Division of Community Planning
2555 Shumard Oak Blvd.
Talahassee, FL 32399-2100

This department is particularly interested in any infrastructure problems, low water pressure, sewer problems, crowded roads, increases in real density in a high hurricane threat area. The City has told them essentially that there are no known problems.  If you believe the situation has been misrepresented you need
to state your concerns.

You MUST write the DCA immediately, they may complete their review by June 17th and need to know how you feel now!

We believe that efforts are underway to shorten the normal time required by the State to approve the Redevelopment Plan. State officials must know that the citizens
do not support this effort.

Resident's Rallying

According to an article in the St. Petersburg Times opponents of allowing Floridians the right to vote on how their community will be developed are predicting they will spend 65 MILLION dollars - YES 65 million dollars to stop an iniative called Hometown Democracy. We live in a democracy and that means everyone is entitled to express their view … BUT in our opinion you should not try to trick the people to sign your petition; Floridians For Smarter Growth has designed petitions in a deliberate way to look like the grassroots Hometown Democracy petitions. A bait and switch game to lure signers?
